Electrical Technician

We are looking for a new colleague to join our Technical Services team, someone who enjoys working with technology and solving technical challenges.

  • A 12-month employment contract based on 40 hours per week, spread over 5 working days. Extension is possible based on performance.

What you will do

  • You will receive thorough on-the-job training from an experienced colleague, giving you a good understanding of our processes and procedures before independently carrying out your responsibilities.
  • You independently troubleshoot and resolve faults in installations and equipment.
  • You ensure that machines and equipment are properly maintained.
  • You help keep our machinery and equipment running efficiently and understand the importance of reliable operations.
  • You contribute ideas on how to maintain stable and efficient processes and procedures.
  • You support various projects aimed at improving and optimizing our machinery and equipment.

What we ask

  • You have completed a relevant MBO qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • You are available full-time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday.
  • You will work day shifts (07:00 - 16:00) and are occasionally available to work on Saturdays.
  • You speak Dutch, and a basic knowledge of English is useful.
  • Preferably, you live in Rotterdam or the surrounding area, although candidates willing to travel further are also welcome.
  • Experience in a production environment or the food industry is an advantage, but not required.
  • You are occasionally available outside regular working hours in case of breakdowns or technical issues.
  • You have a solid background in electrical engineering.
  • You have an interest in technology and are passionate about your profession.
  • You work in a structured and organized manner and follow established procedures.
  • Safety is a high priority for you.
  • You have a good understanding of hygiene and safety standards, or you are willing to learn. This is essential to ensure safe and efficient working conditions.
  • You remain calm and focused when dealing with unexpected situations.
  • You are flexible, service-oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
