Warehouse Employee (Non-Food)

For our non-food warehouse, we are looking for a reliable and proactive colleague who helps ensure that everything runs smoothly. You play a key role in inventory management and support both the dispatch and production departments. You enjoy keeping track of things, are happy to roll up your sleeves, and thrive in a well-organized warehouse.

What we offer

  • A stable job with consistent work and the opportunity to obtain a permanent contract;
  • Salary (based on a 36-hour work week): Meat Industry Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) salary scale D4 (paid every 4 weeks): €2,448.50 gross per 4 weeks (€2,652.54 gross per month);
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre, 8% holiday allowance, 2% year-end bonus, inconvenience allowance, overtime compensation, 24 vacation days, participation in the VLEP pension scheme, and other employment conditions in accordance with our CLA;
  • You will start with a 12-month employment contract based on 36 hours per week, spread over 5 working days. Subject to good performance, there is the prospect of an extension;
  • Working hours (may vary depending on production planning): Monday to Friday, between 06:00 and 16:00, including two 30‑minute breaks. No shift work;

What you will do

You are responsible for managing and organising our non-food inventory. This includes inventory control, replenishing and ordering stock, and supplying various departments within our production environment to ensure that the right materials are always available when needed. In addition, you will:

  • Manage inventory and carry out weekly stock counts;
  • Supply materials to the production departments;
  • Support the dispatch department where required;
  • Coordinate the crate washing operation;
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained work environment.

What we ask

  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage;
  • In possession of an EPT and/or forklift certificate, or willing to obtain these immediately upon starting employment;
  • You work accurately and are able to maintain a clear overview;
  • You are proactive and can work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Knowledge of HACCP and relevant quality and safety standards is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is an advantage;
  • Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, and basic knowledge of English;
  • Preferably living in Rotterdam or the surrounding area;
  • A valid driving license, own transportation and accommodation.
